Introduction 

Hello everyone! Update 2.7.5 is now upon us, bringing with it many new features. Today, we will be taking a look at the largest new feature in this update, immortal specializations. Firstly, what are immortal specializations? It is an upgrade to every immortal that substantially boosts their stats, and may also provide an additional effect on top of it. It also requires new materials from the new Well of Time and immortal fragments.

Required Materials

For most of the smaller upgrade nodes, Master Marks are required to unlock and level them up. These Master Marks are specific to an immortal’s position, with Defence, Attack, Magic, Range and Support immortals all with their own Master Marks. 

Master Insights are required for the key upgrade nodes, such as those that increase the level of the immortal specializations. These are universal across all immortal positions, making them the bottleneck preventing most players from upgrading their immortal specializations currently. 

Well of Time

All these new materials can be obtained from the new levels inside Well of Time, where 18 new stages have been added. Just like the old Well of Time, the difficulty increases as one progresses through the stages, but the rewards also increase substantially too. A maximum of 10 attempts can be attempted per day, although these attempts are not consumed in a loss. Players also have the option to purchase a pass that gives an additional 5 attempts per day for a month. 

Tips for Well of Time

A common problem for many players who have reached the later stages of Well of Time is reaching the maximum time limit, resulting in a defeat. One way to combat this is by turning off auto battle feature and only using the dragon’s abilities on the second enemy team. Another simple way to provide a small increase in power is by using buffs. If players are getting very close to victories, they could also attempt the stage a few times, as it would only take some luck to clear the stage. 

Recommended Specializations

For Magic immortals, most of them would benefit the most from selecting Stormeye Spell. While Corrupting Wave provides a substantial damage boost, it is only useful for immortals who deal most of their damage using their ultimate skill. For most other immortals, a large portion of their damage also comes from the other skills equipped, and would not benefit from Corrupting Wave. As such, Stormeye Spell would be the better choice in such cases.

For Ranged immortals, the choice of specialization depends on where most of the immortal’s damage comes from. For immortals such as Seondeok and Genghis Khan, almost all their damage usually comes from their ultimate skill. This makes Concentration Stance the best way to increase their damage. For other immortals who rely on their equipped skills to deal damage, Deadly Aim would be the better option.

For Support immortals, the choice depends on the other backline immortal in the team. If the other immortal is a damage dealer such as Himiko or Seondeok, Battle Excitation would be the clear choice, providing a substantial damage boost to them. However, if the other immortal is another support immortal, then Holy Prayer would be the better option to reduce damage taken. 

For Defence immortals who do not deal damage, Fearless Stance is most likely the best option, reducing its damage taken. While Sturdy Barrier might also have some benefit, it just does not seem to provide enough shielding at a low level to justify using it. For the few Defence immortals who are able to deal damage such as Anubis, Precision Strike would be the best option.

For some Attack immortals such as Alex and Hannibal Barca who rely on their attack speed, Knight’s Spirit is the obvious choice, providing a huge boost to both their damage dealt and attack speed. For most other immortals who are unable to take advantage of an increase in attack speed, Destroyer Stance would be the better option, providing an increase in damage dealt and crit rate. 

Epilogue

With the huge increase in stats that Immortal Specializations provide, it is going to be the next key frontier for most players to upgrade. Despite its steep price due to the large number of immortal fragments required, its huge buffs make it a must have for all players. Even though it has only been a week since update 2.7.5, its effects can already clearly be felt.
