SKR's fierce opponent in the fifth round of SoW

In a cold day of autumn, that seemed more like winter, the Siege of Winterfell season continued for SKR. The snow started falling outside, just like SKR's past round's enemies had done, flawlessly. This was the huge morale that the alliance had after achieving the first goal that they set out for this season. They had an almost perfect road towards it, facing only one defeat in the first round of the season, and this made them set their eyes on a victory no matter who they were going to face against.

The strategist that achieved the 3 wins of the season for SKR was Rashkasha, the current duke, who everyone trusted and loved, including SIR ST, the most proficient fighter of the alliance, whom every opponent feared. Together they are a magnificent duo, that is ready to push the alliance to their potential, and today, their eyes are set on another victory.

Their opponents for this round are TIS, an alliance that they have faced in Alliance Conquest before, where it was a very intense match. Sadly for SKR, there they had lost the confrontation, but seeing that now they face each other again, everyone in SKR was ready to give it their all to win. SIR ST played a pivotal role in the Alliance Conquest match, where he constantly won buildings for SKR, but in Siege of Winterfell, this will not be possible. He knew more than anyone else that the match was going to be a very hard mission, but he was still going to try his best, everyone needed to if they wanted to win.

The match began soon after and SKR made their way onto the battlefield where they were going to meet their opponents. Rashkasha’s plan was just like in the previous rounds, where SKR would split their forces evenly between the Hot Springs and the Armory, try to secure both, and then shift focus to Winterfell. But TIS was going to attempt the same and get in their way.

Led by one of their oldest fighters, Browsker, TIS entered the battlefield with an outstanding difference in numbers, they had brought 85 fighters against SKR's 52, this was going to play a massive role in the fight to come. They started the match with aggressive moves towards the buildings on both sides of the map, an approach which surprised SIR ST and Rashkasha as they thought TIS would focus mainly on one side more than the other. Because of this, Rashkasha needed to change his approach but he was too late in doing so. This unexpected approach threw SKR into disarray and showed the lack of experience in Rashkasha's leading at the moment.

At the Hot Springs, SKR stood no chance despite SIR ST being prepared for a fierce battle. He clashed with TIS fighters in one-on-one skirmishes at first but as more and more arrived on the battlefield, it became an impossible mission for his body to keep up. TIS’s numbers and teamwork began to overwhelm not only SIR ST but also the SKR forces that died out before SIR ST's last army. TIS moved as one, now advancing against their opponents, SKR needed to regroup and try to defend again.

Meanwhile, at the Armory, Rashkasha and his team faced an annihilation, they stood no chance and immediately got wiped out by the numbers disadvantage. . Every attempt by SKR to push last longer had failed, and now TIS was pushing towards the bases, a place where SKR was going to attempt for the second time, however, now they were all grouping on the right side for another stand against the TIS forces. They were going to meet them with a long resistance.

Browsker was confident in his team and mates of the alliance, knowing they could take over the map quickly and secure their victory. He ordered the left side to keep on pushing, whilst the right side engaged in another fierce fight against SKR's whole alliance. TIS’s control of the map began to solidify as the left side was getting captured.

But even with SKR regrouped and launching a counterattack to try and stay in the match, it was all futile, they found themselves outmaneuvered at every turn and overpowered as well as outnumbered by the opponents, the pierce attacks were too much to handle. TIS was reading them like a book, to SIR ST's frustration, which steadily grew, and as the morale of SKR crumbled. TIS anticipated their moves, and now, the base was also lost, there is nothing else to defend for SKR except one right outpost, but they knew they were going to fail it.

SIR ST however did not want to give up! He wanted everyone to make a last stand and increase the morale going into it. He knew that if it did not matter for this match, it would help them in the next round. But yet again, as soon as they reached the outpost, they were defeated and denied anything that they could reach out for.

This round was a harsh reminder for SKR of the level of competition in the Siege of Winterfell, they should not have gotten overconfident. They had come far this season, but TIS had shown them that there was still much to learn and that the lack of experience was a factor as to why SKR could lose matches. For TIS, it was a resounding statement of their strength and strategies, they played it perfectly.

As the snow continued to fall, covering the battlefield in silence, Rashkasha and SIR ST were thinking of every mistake made, trying their best to learn, and return stronger. For now, however, TIS had claimed the day, but SKR was going to bounce back stronger, learning from their past and focusing towards greatness.
