GoTWiC [SoW] S14R3 SFu vs LiK

Greetings ladies and gentlemen. After 2 convincing wins in the first two rounds of the well-known Siege of Winterfell event, in the next round came LiK with K164 with theirs leader Konstantin.

Having missed the first two matches, due to recovery from the battle of the kingdoms where he lost a lot of his army, Stanko partially recovered and returned to the fight.

By the beginning of the match, he managed to produce enough T4 and T5 class spearmen for two armies and send them to the battlefield. He was among the last to enter the battlefield, and there a lot of troops was waiting for him, ready to go into action.

n the other side, there was a similar situation.

We were the favorites in this match, but there should have been no relaxation, because the victory would have brought us into the top 10, and also the more points we would have collected, the more Valor points we would have received at the end of the match.

The teams were divided into two parts, and Stanko was in the Hot Spring group whose task was to conquer the castle because it brings 100% speed of free healing, while Armory team will attack the castle and move there after the package arrives. The battle began and everyone moved towards their goals. Stanko's armies were significantly slower than the others, but he arrived at the right time, when the fiercest attacks began.

He tried to find the cavalry army, but he could only do that inside the castle, because otherwise the opponent would easily escape from him. On the other hand, our armies were twice as numerous and it seemed that they would easily conquer the Armory and thus increase our totals by 50% each.

Stanko managed to find the cavalry army, but he was quickly attacked by the infantry, and had to fight against 6 armies. Although they were not strong opponents, they were far more numerous and inflicted significant losses on Stanko. But there was no retreat. We were far more numerous and we had to neutralize them as much as possible and conquer the castle. The rest of his teammates came to his aid and managed to defeat the opponent with their combined forces. He did not have time to rebuild his army, but attacked the first one he came across. They were spearmen and infantry. Stanko didn't need this now because he had already lost part of his army and the opponents were constantly coming, so now he didn't have the help of his teammates. It was more than 5 minutes until the arrival of the first package, but we had to hurry to beat them and focus on the package.

Stanko did not give up. With his 2 armies, he fought bravely against a more numerous opponent.

The second army, which was t4, suffered heavy losses and Stanko had to be dragged out of the castle in order to send it for treatment. An opposing army went after Stanko's, but Stanko attacked it with the first army and thus managed to pull out his weakened army and save it from even greater losses. But now the situation was 3:1. Surrounded on all 3 sides, Stanko fought against an opponent who lost much more troops than Stanko. However, he did not want to retreat and went to the end. In the meantime, the first package arrived, but in Winterfell there were only enemy players who easily took the package and headed towards their base.

Stanko could not leave his position but asked for help from the others. He managed to defeat one but he still had less army. He tried to run away to waste time until the arrival of the other army. On the other hand, SFu started resisted when the opponent got close to base 3. We had a strategy to let them get close to the base while we fight in it in the meantime and when we take it, we move towards the package. However, the opponent behaved well. He concentrated all the troops on the package and base 3, and it was quite difficult for us to take over the package from them. Konstantin was very fast, so we did not easily manage to take the package and the opponents managed to take it to the base first.

With the help of his teammates, Stanko managed after a long struggle to overcome his opponent and conquer the castle. However, after winning the package, the opponent again moved towards the castles. It seemed that they were much more numerous than us and fast and easily managed to escape from us during the attack. Stanko sent the renewed troops to HS again, but this time he was ordered to go to the defense of the package when the time was right.

The second package arrived, however, and this time, our players were not close to Winterfell to pick up the package, because we were busy defending the castles. This time, Stanko made his way to base 1 in time, where the opponent was carrying the package. He was joined by several teammates. And this time the package was held by Konstantin and we had to neutralize him quickly. Stanko with both armies attacked him in the hope of defeating him as soon as possible and for one of us to take the package. However, several opposing armies attacked Stanko and thus made it difficult for him to attack Konstantin. Many teammates attacked the package, however, led by Daenerys and Sanele, Konstantin was difficult to overcome and the opponent managed to take the second package as well. This was already an alarm for everyone. Most of our players were excluded from the fight, and sitting in castles.

Although we were the favorites on paper and some of us believed in easy victory, everything seemed that this would be a rather uncertain match. We had to take the next package if we wanted to get back into the match as much as possible. Stanko rebuilt his troops and sent them straight to Winterfell. Almost all of our armies were focused on the package, which made it easier for the opponent to capture some castles, including Armory and HS.

In the end, we were the first to take the package and head towards base 3. Konstantin tried to approach the package, but Stanko and several spearmen were waiting for him, blocking his way and inflicting heavy losses on him. The goal was to reduce his army as much as possible so that we could easily defeat him if he managed to capture the package. We managed to carry the package without any problems, because we created a strong shield that the opponent could not break. Stanko managed to defeat Konstantin's strongest army, but with great losses to his second army. He knew that every soldier was needed now, and he did not want to take them away for treatment, but was ready to sacrifice them for the sake of the package.

We were close to the base and it seemed that the enemy had given up, because the attacks were not as strong as when Konstantin was with the strongest army. We managed to neutralize the strongest opponent and win this battle as well as the first package that brings us back into the match.

Too focused on the package, we neglected castles that the opponent knew how to exploit and capture. The opponent had an advantage of 4k points, so we had to capture the next package, which brings 5k points, while holding certain castles where the battles were currently taking place. As at the beginning of the match, Armory and HS were full of warriors fighting for points and elimination points.

Stanko knew if he went to the castle, he wouldn't have time to recover his army and send them to WF when the package arrived. We had 9 minutes to deliver the package and thus prevent unpleasant surprises. 

The package arrived and this time we managed to capture it and head towards base 2. However, this time the opponent immediately attacked us. They wanted to extend the time. Stanko looked for Konstantin wishing to defeat him as soon as possible. However, it was difficult to find him in such a crowd. We tried the same strategy as in the last fight, however, many opponents came from the opposite side and directly attacked the package. And then Konstantin appeared and attacked the package. Stanko seeing, he immediately started towards him. Konstantin managed to win the package, but he was awaited by a lot of armies, among which were the Stanko. Very fast and strong, he managed to pull the package in the opposite direction, however, he was unable to withstand so many attacks and the package was taken over by Wareblade, our strong infantryman, who again moved towards base 2. The opponents were constantly attacking, but it was much easier without Konstantin and we had to use the opportunity until he returned to hold the package as long as possible. Stanko went side by side with Wareblade, defending him from the cavalry armies, led by Mengo who circled like wasps around Wareblade and attacking him.

We were approaching base 2. However, the opponent managed to make a 6k difference because they held castles. We had to immediately attack the castles after winning the package and try to overtake them in the last seconds. At the very entrance to the base field, Konstantin appeared again and attacked Wareblade. We were so close to winning the package, and then he came from the opposite side and disrupted our plans. The battle was taking place on the edge of the base. However, now it was a problem to defend the base, because a lot of opponents entered it. Stanko's focus was once again on Konstantine who managed to defeat Wareblade. Now we were fighting who would win the package and take it to the base. All the army was concentrated near the base. However, time worked for the opponent as there were less than 2 minutes left. Konstantin managed to grab the package and head towards base 2. Stanko managed to get in his way and with his two armies, with the help of his teammates, managed to prevent him from entering the base. Once again, Konstantin was defeated, and then Wareblade appears once again and manages to take the package with his cavalry army and forward it to base 2.

We managed to take 5k points, but it was not enough, because the opponent managed to create an unattainable advantage by holding the castles and thus inflicted our first defeat. This was an unexpected defeat for all of us. We lost this match due to bad strategy and laziness of some players. Their strategy was very good, because they used their speed and Konstantin, who took both packages for them, and thus deservedly declared MVP of the match. It was disappointing for Stanko because they lost a match against the opponent they beat earlier in the Alliance Conquest, but for him it was most important to fully recover and enter the season finale with all 3 armies.
