Crashing Cpt3

Hi, I'm new to this game and am currently on the last level of chapter 3

Unfortunately the game crashes every time I choose to engage the final enemy (whose name I can't remember).

I am also playing from GTArcade's desktop app, so I assume it's essentially an emulator.

Any help would be appreciated.
