The Very Beginning

Hello Infinity Kingdom. This is Magic Mage from server 243. I have had some new Lords reach out asking for some content regarding early game.

A lot has changed sense I first created my main account in 214. And strangely enough, early game changes occurred even since I since I entered conquest two seasons ago.

In the past, the way to grow and develop quickly was in conquest, due to access to immortals, resources, and rewards not available in the earlier game. However, this prior recommendation may be changing.

Immortals that one could not obtain until conquest, such as Matilda, Seondeok, Yi Sun-Shin, Louis and Tokugawa, are now seen in early game preparation accounts.

Additionally, Lords can unlock exclusive artifacts sooner.

But the age old question of “What march should I build and how do I go about to build this march” still exists. This article will aim at trying to answer this very question.

BUILDING THE RIGHT MARCH

Building the right march is very important in the early game. Not only can it provide you with better rewards before others on your server, but it can also save you resources. When you build your march you always want to think about the end game march you wish to create. You might be enticed to build a specific type of march based on the first few epic immortals you retain. Some of those immortals may be worth developing early game but not always.

We all start with the same Water March - Helen of Troy, Lancelot, and Pierre Terrail:

Once you make it through the basic tutorial you can purchase an extra contract builder within the package: "Head Start”. This package is easiest to find when you try to build and look to access a locked queue. If you only spend once in the game, purchasing the $5 Head Start contract builder to unlock this and Merlin can set you up to remain competitive. Merlin is a strong water magician who is helpful early game, but in three days provides a lord with 9 philosopher stones to summon an additional immortal. This is extremely beneficial as you want to replace Lancelot and Pierre sooner than later.

There are a few marches a lord can build but selecting wisely is important for both free to play and pay to play lords. Lightning, can appear a good free to play march but the bosses are hard to kill, the lightning team does not perform well on walls and garrisons to capture cities early game, and if you are free to play, you will likely start with Peter the Great in your march. While a strong spearmen, he requires a strong dedication to spearmen technology. Additionally, others will have an advantage if you are not in the blue Ydvia Kingdom. Members may also discover spearmen tech tends to be developed last. All of this should be considered. You will also, want to consider who will you have in your second, third, or even fourth march. If not spearmen, you will need to decide if you march is worth the investment of further resources for task such as training troops of calvary, spearmen, and sheildmen opposed to just two of these three.

SYNERGY

When Building your march understanding the synergy of the immortals is important. You want to think about how the immortals work together on a single team, with the technology and kingdom boosts, with your second, third, and 4th march regarding training and key skills the immortal needs to be successful.

In the past having more than three males became difficult because of the available skills in the tower of knowledge. With the introduction of some additional skills this year, our options to use a fourth Mage has become possible, but does require a lord to invest in skills.

Mixed marches still remain a strong and dependable option to build as the required skills are not as needed by other marches for this group of immortals to succeed.

EVENTS AND GAMES

You will also want to think about what events and games you want to succeed in. There is a reason why you see so many members switching to an earth team and are quick to advise new members to plan to build an earth march.

The earth dragon is the second dragon unlocked, allowing a lord to begin developing a dragon quickly without needing to switch dragons at a later point when the fire, wind, or lightning dragon becomes unlocked and even longer for holy and shadow.

The metallic fortress earth bosses are also some of the easiest to kill resulting in lower troop deaths. This means resources can be used to grow your castle and technology opposed to training troops and healing the wounded. This allows earth march lords with an even further advantage.

Additionally, earth marches start strong and easily evolve over time. You might start with a mixed march until you can get Charles the great who can be advantageous in a second march such as Peter the great, Charles, Yi Seong-gye (YSG), and Gilgamesh until you can unlock Elizabeth or Himiko.

If you are more free to play, keeping the earth wind mix march and slowly growing a fire march is also viable and can lead one to victory if thought out well.

STEPS TO TAKE

The steps we take to achieve our marches are not always direct. We are greatly dependent on luck. Sign in rewards occurs daily and each month we can unlock two immortals. Starting an account on 309 to help answer the questions lords have about early game questions, resulted in some luck as I begin with an earth immortal calendar where Alexander can be obtained.

I unlocked Hannibal with myself first summon. Also great luck, and pushed my VIP to level 5, via gems with completing daily and mission tasks in addition to completing ruin puzzles.

This allowed me to unlock Zenobia, who is extremely beneficial early game and even late game for many earth marches. While you can obtain Zenobia for free through the harbor ship, unlocking her for $5 to begin my development quickly was beneficial.

Between summons in the hall of immortals, Amanitore is a good option and she will Carry you far until you have the ability to unlock Zenobia.

This now brings me to a march of Merlin, Zenobia, and Hannibal with Brynhild who is a water front line immortal. I used the water dragon until I could unlock the earth dragon providing myself a 20% magical and physical defense boost.

When the earth dragon was level 5 and my first dragon skill was developed, I shaped my earth dragon in for the water dragon as my power increased and I was getting better advantages for the earth dragon's skills in battle.

Once I am able to summon an earth front line immortal I will place them in Brynhild's place until the end of the month when I unlock Alexander the great.

SWAPING IN A NEWLY AQUIRED IMMORTAL

When you decide to change an immortal out for another who better fits your end march goals it is important to do so in a way it does not set you back. Therefore when I unlock Alexander it may be some time before I can place him in my march.

A 7 star purple immortal would be replaced with a 5 star epic (orange) immortal. With immortals such as Alexander who has fragments purchased in the market with gems, that could take time. Not only due to the number of refreshes for a chance to purchase the immortal, but also in saving gems for VIP and this immortal.

Ideally having obtained VIP level 5 my next goal to reach is level 10. This unlocks additional benefits and boosts.

RESOURCES USED WISELY

If I can give anyone key advise in this early stage of the game it would be to use resources wisely and think about where you will allocate these resources. I am choosing to build a mix earth wind march because not only is it cost effective, but also competitive, will reduce losses allowing me to use resources in other aspects of the game and be strong to aid my alliance in walls and garrisons while still allowing me to be competitive in player vs. Player completion.

Knowing this stardust will be saved and allocated on main damage dealers such as Alex and Hannibal. Stardust is very important to allocate thoughtfully because you do not get this resource back when an immortal is reborn.

In the early game you also receive rewards for daily log ins and activities. Take advantage of Thea and use your purity crystals for the first 7 days. Participating in these missions provide you with Yoshitsune (Yoshi). A valuable immortal to kill strong bosses and the server tarantula, therefore you do not want to recycle his fragments.

Furthermore, these chronicles for rewards provide a lord with resources to advance in the game for tasks one will want too, and need to complete to progress.

You will also want to keep you eye out for weekly codes released in addition to the occasional special code available through events. Typically you will see two or three codes a week. Their are also some codes from the past that remain current and viable to use:

MORE THAN JUST IMMORTALS

Alliance

Building a march is more than just awaiting the right immortals. It also requires a lord to be active. Finding the right alliance with a good diverse group of pay to play, active, and knowledgeable members is important, but it is also good to her new members just joining our community as they can encourage us to think and question what always was. You want enough members to take a city, a leadership team who communicate well and can plan and think not of what is required at present but also what is needed for the alliance in the future.

Armor

The other big aspect outside of VIP is ensuring you actively kill gnomes and bosses to develop your dragon, gain experience points to strengthen your immortals, and access armor. When starting the game I only place armor on my main march immortals and Yoshi. As I unlock better armor I will recycle the armor I had to obtain enchantment stones to enhance the armor I have. You begin with grey armor and replace it with green then you will see a green armor with a gold border. The higher level the gnome you kill the chance of unlocking better armor. If you unlock Merlin you receive an epic wand. DO NOT recycle this as it will be better than any armor you can obtain for a while.

Well Of Time

The last thing you will want to push to complete is the well of time. Earth immortals also fair best in this task due to the healing and regenerative properties of this team. Water teams struggle more. Lightning teams are slightly better than water in this event. Fire teams are my second choice following earth marches for progressing quickly. As you advance you can gain experience points in addition to unlocking points that allow you to boost your immortals. This is important as it not only allows you to then kill stronger gnomes for better equipment but also allows you to increase your troop carrying load of resources so you can develop your castle quicker. It will also allow you to have advantages for victory in killing events where you can gain honor increasing nobility so that you unlock a greater number of gems each day.
