💠Introduction

What’s up, folks? The new and updated Wisdom Well overtook the outdated and expensive Blessing of Triss event. Is it better? Is it cheaper? In this article, we’ll take a closer look at the cost and value of the Wisdom Well event as well as explore the probabilities of pulling Legendary skill stones, Epic skill stones, and Exclusive Artifact Chests for Holy and Shadow immortals, as well as seeing how they hold up in practice.

💠Wisdom Well

Wisdom Well is the new event that replaced Blessing of Triss. It is a weekly event that occurs from Sunday to Tuesday. To play, players need to purchase Divine Coins. Instead of allowing players to pick between Legendary and Epic skills, only Legendary skills are available to pick from. There is also no more pool of 151 rewards. The number of shards per pull also decreased from 12 to 4. However, players get a guaranteed skill stone pull for every 40 coins they spend. The new Wisdom Well also features 15 Exclusive Artifact Selection Chests for Holy and Shadow immortals instead of 30 Exclusive Artifact fragments for random specific immortals. That means you won’t be able to get the artifacts for immortals like Seondeok and Yi Sun-Shin. Selectable Epic skill shards as the reward were also replaced with single Ability Stone Selection Chests that contain the seven new skills and Corrosive Power.

💠Bundles

There are five in-game bundles and five GTArcade bundles. Each of the five bundles costs $4.99, $9.99, $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99. However, the in-game bundles give 4, 6, 8, 12, and 24 coins, respectively, while the GTArcade bundles give 6, 8, 10, 16, and 30 coins, respectively. Players can purchase the in-game packs 2, 4, 6, 6, and 6 times a day, respectively. For the GTArcade packs, each pack is limited to 5 a week. Evidently, the value of each pack decreases as the cost increases. Players will get the best value from the $4.99 bundles. There is about half a dollar difference between the first three packs. The $49.99 and $99.99 bundles have the starkest difference. I would avoid those two packs entirely on both platforms if you want the best value.

💠Results

In 375 wishes, I was granted a total of 52 Attack & Defense Ability Stones. Of those 52, I only drew the stones before the guaranteed prize only four times. I also received about 360 Artifact Selection Chests combined and very few Ability Stone Selection Chests. In Blessing of Triss, I was averaging about 90 to 100 Divine Coins per 12 Skill Stones. In general, as far as Ability Stone odds go, the old Blessing of Triss was better. I was also getting more Exclusive Artifact Fragments combined overall, but they were all for different immortals, some that I used and some that I didn’t. In my opinion, the Artifact Selection Chest is better than the old version even though you will get slightly fewer. See some of my draw results below.

The cost of Divine Coins has also gone down. Previously, only the $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99 packs existed in the game and they all gave far fewer coins. The $19.99 had the best value and only gave five coins. GTArcade Divine Coin bundles did not exist yet. To get 375 coins, as used above, players would have to dish out about $1,500 if they only purchased the $19.99 bundle. Nowadays, 375 coins will only run about $375 if you only buy the $4.99 bundles on both platforms. That’s a quarter of the previous price and it’s far more affordable now.

💠Considerations

If you have no desire or intentions of getting and maxing any Legendary skills, I would skip Wisdom Well entirely. If you need Holy and Shadow Exclusive Artifact Selection Chests, I would just purchase five days of the Recharge Bundle for 50 Ability Stones to sell for cinders that you can spend in the Wish Shop. It’s far more economical than buying Divine Coins for cinders or hoping to draw chests. Additionally, I recognize that 375 Divine Coins may not be a large enough sample size to accurately determine whether Wisdom Well has better or worse probabilities of getting Ability Stones, but with the change to the Exclusive Artifacts and the decrease in cost of the coins, we can accurately say the new iteration with all its bundles has far better value than Blessing of Triss even if it takes a little more coins.

💠Summary

Overall, Wisdom Well is cheaper and generally better than the event it replaced. For non-spenders, the change isn’t a concern. The design team opened up Wisdom Well to be a lot more affordable for mid-spenders to play. For high-spenders, Legendary skills may now be far more enticing to get.
