💠Introduction
What’s up, folks? There aren’t many ways to get Crimson Moonlight. Primal Pinball is one of the few ways to get the item at a low cost. For those building Chaos Immortals, the event is one you should do. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at and explore the probabilities of pulling Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, and various other rewards and see how they hold up in practice.

💠Primal Pinball
Primal Pinball is a weekly event that usually occurs Monday to Wednesday. To play, players need to purchase Pearls of Finding. There are five bundles players can purchase that cost $4.99, $14.99, $29.99, $49.99, and $99.99 for 18, 30, 40, 50, and 70 Pearls of Finding, respectively. Players can purchase one of each pack per day. For every pearl you fire, you have a chance to get Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, 3-hour speedup, gold, or a type of resource. Every 100 pearls will grant you an extra 20 for free. For the sake of simplicity for this experiment, I will only account for the rewards with high value – Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, and 3-hour speedups. Gold and resources are fairly useless at this stage of the game. The best value for the bundles are the $4.99 packs which come out to be about 28 cents per pearl. You would need to buy six of the $4.99 packs to run the event once with 100 pearls which means you can do it once every two weeks.

💠Expected Results
There are 10 reward slots each pearl can fall into. There are two slots holding four Crimson Moonlight, one slot holding ten Stardust, one slot holding four Stardust, and one slot with a 3-hour speedup. The other six contain resources. There’s a 5% chance of landing on Crimson Moonlight, a 6.8% chance of getting Stardust, a 24.2% chance of getting the speedup, and a 64% chance of obtaining resources. This means, on average, in 100 pearls, you will get 20 Crimson Moonlight, about 95 Stardust, and 24 speedups.

💠Actual Results
I will not count the free pinballs in the tally to make it simpler. After 500 paid spins, the results for landing on Crimson Moonlight, Stardust, and speedups are relatively similar to the stated percentages with some small deviation. I got slightly more Stardust and resources than expected but fell short on Crimson Moonlight and 3-hour speedups. Let’s assume we got 500 Pearls of Finding by purchasing only the $4.99 bundle, it cost a total of about $140 and we only got 92 Crimson Moonlight. That’s barely a couple of portrait levels and even less if the portrait is already high level. It also comes with a decent number of Stardust and a not-so-insignificant number of speedups so it’s still extremely high value if you care about the other rewards as well. Stardust is less significant for high-spenders who have mostly Chaos immortals in their main march, but they can still be useful for their second and third marches. Unfortunately, resetting portraits is not possible at the moment so players will need to consider where to spend their Stardust and Crimson Moonlight carefully.

💠Alternatives
Luckily, the development heard our concerns. There are several new bundles added to the Points Shop in the GTArcade app. There are five new Crimson Moonlight bundles with vouchers. Each bundle will cost just as much as the vouchers it provides and some free Crimson Moonlight on top of it. The bundles cost $24.99, $49.99, $99.99, 149.99, and $299.99 for five $4.99, five $9.99, five $19.99, three $49.99, and three $99.99 vouchers, respectively. It comes with 6, 12, 18, 22, and 32 Crimson Moonlight, respectively, on top of the vouchers. Additionally, purchasing packs and bundles on the GTArcade app will also reward users with points that can be used to buy other packs. If you’re already spending that much in-game, it’s now better to buy those vouchers in the app.

💠Summary
In general, Primal Pinball is an extremely cost-effective way to get Crimson Moonlight, not to mention it’s very satisfying to watch the pinballs bounce around. However, it won’t provide players with enough Crimson Moonlight to upgrade many portraits. By level 20, Chaos immortals will need 85 Crimson Moonlight. Luckily, players can get six extra Crimson Moonlight for each $25 they spend on the app. It may not be much, but it can supplement the Crimson Moonlight you get from Primal Pinball. The number of each reward lines up with the projected percentages really well. You can expect about 20 to 25 Crimson Moonlight for every 100 rolls. I would highly recommend playing the event if you’re a spender.
