Game Mechanic : Toxin Barrier

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the mechanic behind the Tower of Knowledge (later ToK) skill Toxin Barrier.

Toxin Barrier is a Premium skill currently available in the Blessing of Triss Event and unlockable at ToK level 43.

Concept : 

Every time you receive a Normal Attack, you have a 65% chance to apply a toxin stack on the opponent. Each stack decreases the Physical damage dealt by the target by 10%. When a target reaches 5 stacks, the stacks are reset and Physical damage is inflicted to the entire enemy team.

Best use on ?

This skill is mainly designed for Attack immortal, standing at the frontrow and receiving many Normal attacks. The damage explosion with the Physical Attack of Attack immortal will deal very serious damage and can completely turn the tide of a fight. On some exceptions it can also be great on Defense immortal who already have a mechanic based on when they get hit, such as Tokugawa.

Good combinaison : 

To increase the stack's spread, this skill does particularly well with Siren’s gaze, potentially forcing the second backliner to attack you and receive Toxin stacks. 

Conclusion : 

This skill is very good to face Normal Attack bullies such as Alexander, Hannibal and Atalanta. But even without specifically targeting on the counter side, it can be a very nice tool against any team with an Attack immortal and a Bowmen behind it. It’s a skill that can make a huge difference but requires to be well positioned to have great effect, so it works better in offense than in defense.
