Game Mechanic : Implosion

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the mechanic behind the Tower of Knowledge (later ToK) skill Implosion.

Implosion is a Premium skill currently available in the Blessing of Triss Event and unlockable at ToK level 43.

Concept : 

Every time you deal critical damage with a normal attack, your Physical Damage will be increased by 55% for 3 seconds. This is a very hard condition to meet outside Fire march who doesn’t really have Auto Attack Immortal in their lineup. We will then have to be creative to make good use of this skill.

Best use on ?

This skill will be best used on a Normal Attack based Immortal such as Alexander, Hannibal, Atalanta and Louis. But he also requires you to deal Critical Hit to trigger and to achieve that condition we will require the help of the Fire dragon or immortal like William and Cyrus, or the use of ToK skill such as Unyielding.

Good combinaison : 

The obvious good combo for this skill is Unyielding which will allow you to deal a reasonable amount of Critical Hit once you reach the troops threshold and Berserker that will increase your attack speed and damage. Wind Rage could also be a good option, but not as important as the two others.

Conclusion : 

That skill is very niche and demanding. You will have to fully turn your build around it to make it become your winning condition. I don’t think this is a really good skill to have for most players who can use others just as good if not better options for their build. But since not many players will go for that option, using it can take by surprise a lot of people. Going for a Critical Hit Physical Carry remains very ambitious though with the tons of Resilience the current state of the game offers.
