Game Mechanic : Demonic Contract

Hi everyone, i’m PO PandaMoratia. In today’s article we will talk about the mechanic behind the Tower of Knowledge (later ToK) skill Demonic Contract.

Demonic Contract is a Premium skill currently available in the Blessing of Triss and unlockable at ToK level 45.

Concept : 

It initially decreases your damage by 50% but every 3 seconds, you will gain a 10% damage increase up to a maximum of 150%. It means that this skill has a negative effect for the first 15 seconds of the fight and then grows as a positive effect to spike at 45 seconds with a 100% damage increase.

Best use on ?

This skill is mostly designed for marches that tend to last long such as Earth and Holy. Manco is probably the best user for this skill since he doesn’t do damage at all on the 15 first seconds anyway, he has no downside.

Good combinaison : 

Skill that has a shared mechanic of negative effect for the start of the battle like Void Realm or Battle Stance work very well with Demonic Contract and its delayed effect .

Conclusion : 

This is a very powerful skill if you are confident your team will not fall too far behind in the early game. It allows you to deal massive amounts of damage and can also be used in Time Rift Breaker with great success. If you are a Holy or Athena player, you will probably want to have it in your kit.
