cannot ascend new slyph armor

I just spent 12,000 flaring heart to ascend new armament Storm wheel in the slyph hall. the armament was level 10:8 with the checkmark in the box listed a 54% chance of upgrade from level 10:8. I attempted this 12 times with no success. 54%? Your percentage is incorrect or your armament does not upgrade. Would be nice to have back the 12,000 flaring heart would also be nice after you fix the problem this is just not mathematically possible 54% and failed 12 attempts in a row.
