The time had come. Months and months of negotiations, discussions, unions and separations, departures and new allies. All this to finally have an alliance ready for Alliance Conquest. If the event was not new to Lady Lory and many other members of NpW, it was for this alliance, recently created and reformed by veterans from several other alliances.
Preparing for the first battle had taken several weeks. New and old players meeting for the first time under one name, this fact alone was so exciting that a certain electricity had been felt in the alliance for days. And finally, the fateful day had arrived. Just think that registering a few hours earlier had been like cutting the ribbon at the launch of a ship about to set sail on treacherous and threatening seas. Those seas were, indeed, the battles of Alliance Conquest.
Shortly after the reset, the opponent's name was revealed; many had anxiously awaited their first opponent in the Super League. Around the world, everyone logged in at different times to see who they'd face. Their name was EmP. Research on that alliance began immediately, research after research. Who would be the most fearsome player? Were they as strong as them? How many were there?
As always, not much could be learned before the match, but some names resonated with strong and fearsome players in the EmP lines: Lariel, Laercio, The Fonz, RedLeader, and many others. But what NpW feared most was their numbers. They knew we were few, and this would be a huge deficit to overcome throughout the entire round of matches. The EmP seemed so numerous…
Within minutes of the match, preparation was already buzzing. Buffs here and there, notes, suggestions. It truly was like a garrison camp before battle. And just 10 minutes earlier, everyone was already on the battlefield. It was still a bit disorganized; NpW hadn't had time to organize every single player. Many were still unknown, so the field looked a bit disorganized for the eyes of more experienced players, but their attention was at its peak.
Within seconds of the start, NpW had 70 players and the EmP 66, a number that greatly boosted NpW morale and gave them hope for a battle of a very similar caliber.
As soon as the starting signal sounded, NpW runners immediately took up positions on Mother and Warrior, and since they still didn't know how their team would function, they immediately rushed to fill the captured structures. With great surprise, NpW runners managed to hold onto the structures, and immediately noticed that they could gain some advantage if the strongest among them positioned themselves on other important structures.

Of course, for some, it wasn't the preferred modus operandi—staying on one structure and playing defense—but it was a way to secure valuable points. With few players on both sides, problems began to arise as the number of structures to capture increased.

Ports and strongholds required a lot of troops, and meanwhile, Mother and Warrior were under attack, but the most critical situation was about to arrive: Casterly Rock.

The NpW most valuable runner, Delle, was incredibly fast, but could he hold the central structure? Even though they were reinforcing him, the attacks he was taking were very strong, and he surrendered in the end.

And here was one of the well-known names who had taken control of CR: Redleader. Immediately, everyone who was free began the countdown to attack CR. Many threw themselves headlong into it with various solos, including Lory.

One of the things she loved most was throwing herself at the enemy. Solos were expensive and ineffective most of time, but there were plenty of them and that helped to reduce troops of enemy, and finally, Neroth defeated Redleader and took control of CR.

The situation saw the NpW enjoying a rather generous advantage thanks to their early captures and holding onto key structures. At mid-game, the lead was 30,000 points higher than EmP's.

The NpW previously tense and cautious attitude slowly began to relax, and they began to have more fun. Even in voice chat, the silence of the few orders had given way to a few humorous jokes and laughter. The mood was rising and definitely improving, but the battle wasn't over yet. There were still Mines to take, and EmP might have been able to react, so even if there was a bit more relaxation, the focus hadn't completely faded. Lady Lory even managed to hold onto a structure for a while and be able to play defense.

The battles on multiple fronts continued, but the structures held by the NpW held, and except for a few rare lapses, the map was completely under their control.

With more than 10 minutes to go, the score was approaching 80,000. That was the limit the NpW had set for themselves from the start. In the event of a victory, it was best for them to avoid climbing too quickly in the rankings, or the risk of encountering alliances full of whales would have put a damper on their rankings, not only physically but also emotionally. Such a newly formed alliance needed to assert itself, and positivity was necessary.

Finally, the 80,000 points arrived, and everyone, including Lady Lory, left their structures to hand them over to their opponents.

Victory had been achieved, and NpW secured a fairly high position in the rankings, so in a few days they would experience the same situation again with another alliance. The experience gained in this first Alliance Conquest battle had brought the players together much more, creating a new sense of familiarity even among the new members. There was a sense of camaraderie and pride in their teamwork, knowing that their combined efforts had led to success. Even the newest members felt a strong bond with the team, eager to face future challenges together.
This victory not only strengthened their bond but also prepared them for future challenges with confidence and unity.
