Welcome Lord and Ladies to the second round of Alliance Conquest, we have two teams fighting to remain in the top 16 of the regular season. Firstly, we have TFI led by the stubborn DiEhArD, he knows his team is the favorites for the whole tournament and plans to show all of Westeros, why they are the reigning champions. Their opponents are Bow led by the aggressive D4X, he knows his team are the underdogs but wants to show that TFI have cracks in their armor. Will TFI prove their dominance once more, silencing all doubters with an iron fist or will Bow’s arrows find the cracks in the champion’s armor, cementing themselves as the real challengers to the crown.

DiEhArDs plan was to brute force his way to the season play-offs, “the only team we have to worry about in the regular season is BAIZIMING’s team, we will solo every building they get,” DiEhArD had already made a list of his elite warriors and they had been given buildings to focus on if they were to lose them. Alliance Conquest comes down to racing for structures on the map and holding them for points, most teams will swap in a stronger warrior to make it harder for their opponent to recapture the structure. Furthermore, the additional buildings you hold the more buffs you will receive and subsequently the harder it will be for the enemy to take the buildings back. “If they win any races, varr and I will start our solo bombardments and the rally leaders should have started their rallies, “DiEhArD wanted his rally leaders to take the buildings and not his elite warriors, he needed them for his solo bombardment strategy.

Varr was second in command for the reigning champions and would play a crucial role in the solo bombardment strategy. “If I get stuck in a building, we have to hard swap that building immediately or hope a rally is still on its way, “varr could accept taking crucial buildings like Casterly Rock or one of the ports but everything else was deemed inconsequential. “Our opponents may wait for varr or DiEhArD to solo and disband the building to trap them, watch out for such strategies,” Joel1101 former leader of TFI was taking a break from full command this season but would still hand out advice every now and then for the benefit of the team.

On the other hand, D4X knew the match would be tough for Bow but he had a plan, “varr is their main weapon, he will be trying to cause as much damage as possible, we need to hold him in place, I will be calling his solo hits out,” D4X could only use defensive strategies against such undeniable force but he knew survival isn’t enough. To topple the champions, Bow must turn TFI’s aggression against them but how is the main question Bow need to answer. The Drums of war grow louder and the second round of Alliance Conquest begins!

Finally, both teams enter the battlefield and TFI noticed they outnumbered their opponents, “I expect more warriors on the battlefield if we are to win the tournament again, “DiEhArD was furious with the attendance but he couldn’t do much about it. The time had come for the racers on both sides to show their might, “our racers could save us today, if we get the first capture points, that could help us put more pressure on TFI,” D4X needed everything to go his way, in his mind the faster TFI would dominate the faster Bow would falter but if they could deny domination from their opponents they could begin a spark of doubt in the minds of TFI. MadMaz was one of the elite warriors of Bow but also a racer, “the main focus should be the Temple of the Warrior and one of the outposts, the buffs may make the difference for us today,” MadMaz could see a path to victory but only if the racers were on their game today. As the dust finally settled it was clear which side came out for the better and MadMaz looked worried, “we only managed to capture the Temple of the Mother and soon their full might will be heading that way,” MadMaz knew what was coming, he could only state the inevitable. “The Temple of the Mother is the target, make sure you reinforce the other buildings as well, we don’t want to make it easy for them, “varr was preparing himself to begin his solo attacks but in the back of his mind, there was always the threat of being trapped.

As the Temple of the Mother was finally taken through a combination of solo attacks and rallies, the outposts were being rallied from Bow in response, “I know ports are opening soon but we need to take one building back or the buff snowball will become too much,” D4X could see all the fires but had no way to extinguish them. Unfortunately for Bow they weren’t able to respond with a building of their own as TFI’s reinforcements negated the rallies from Bow. Will TFI’s dominance prove too much for the underdogs of Bow or does D4X and company have something up their sleeve?

This was the moment of truth for Bow, if they couldn’t take at least one of the ports, they could call the match already,” racers its all on you, may the Lord of Light grant you victory, “D4X looked at his good friend MadMaz and just like that cheers could be heard within the Bow camp. “Your prayers were answered old friend, we got them both but can we keep them is the real question,” MadMaz knew the real problem was the solo attacks from both DiEhArD and varr were costing his side dearly. On the other side there seemed to be no reaction to losing both ports, “varr you will be targeting Targaryen Port with soloes and the rest will target our own port with rallies and soloes, be ready,” DiEhArD could see a future where both ports where in the control of TFI before Casterly Rock opened.

As soon as the bubbles dropped from both ports the onslaught began but this time Bow were ready, “disband Targaryen Port, varr is on his way, we couldn’t trap him in the other buildings but this will have to do,” MadMaz as a racer could see how varr was trying to bleed Bow in the Targaryen Port but without capturing it. “I’ve taken Targaryen Port, they disbanded I couldn’t call back in time, should I stay or disband?” Varr was angry with himself but DiEhArD’s cooler head prevailed, “keep it, it’s a priority building and its on their side of the battlefield, harder for us to reinforce but easier with you inside,” DiEhArD had completed one of his goals but the Lannister Port still remained. Just before Casterly Rock opened, the final port fell into the hands of TFI, “I knew it be hard to keep both ports but we did well with our reinforcements, they are just too strong for us, “D4X could see the writing on the wall, in his mind Bow was no match for TFI and it showed.

The disaster of both ports being lost in such as short span of time left a bitter taste in the mouth of D4X but he had no time to dwell on the past,” Casterly Rock has the longest bubble timer, if we take it we can then focus on other buildings while they wait for the bubble to disappear,” D4X wanted to take out the weaker rally leaders starting with the Lannister Outpost and was hoping Casterly Rock would be the distraction he was looking for. The race was off and within a few moments the racers of Bow were once again celebrating as they had won a crucial race and one that could send shivers down the spine of the TFI camp. “Well, we are showing Westeros, TFI has some racer issues, they are not as strong or quick as they claim to be,” MadMaz was making fun of the situation but he knew their smiles wouldn’t last long.

As Bow rejoiced, TFI were making some adjustments, “with varr stuck in the Targaryen Port, I suggest DiEhArD also make rallies and we will try to make his rally be the last one to hit and keep DiEhArD in Casterly Rock until the mines open,” Joel1101 with his wise head had determined the best course of action and without pushback, TFI began their rallies with DiEhArD planning to speed himself after the other rallies had hit. The plan went as planned, DiEhArD was inside Casterly Rock but not without a price as Bow managed to take the Temple of the Warrior and now had their eye on Lannister Outpost.

The loss of Casterly Rock was a big one but Bow continued their fight, “looks like we will lose Temple of the Warrior but perhaps we can trade it for the Lannister Outpost, ready your rallies and speed them in,” D4X was not ready to give up, he planned to show Westeros that TFI were not who they claimed to be. With 30 mins remaining TFI had a gigantic 30k points lead and it looked to grow larger, “the Temple of the Warrior is back in our hands but their rallies are heading for the Lannister Outpost, we can afford to lose it but let’s see if we can keep this building as well,” varr was pessimistic as they held every other building on the battlefield and surely were low on troops. As predicted Bow managed to take the Lannister Outpost but with such a large lead to overcome, most of Bow had succumbed to accepting the loss. Only a few minutes later TFI had taken back the Lannister Outpost and had taken every building on the battlefield under their control, such was their dominance, showing all of Westeros who they should fear and respect.

D4X could sense the end was coming but the mines could give Bow something to shout about, “MadMaz now is the time to show what we are made of, racers show Westeros why we deserve their praise,” D4X waited with baited breath as both sides racers prepared for the finale. The race began and TFI couldn’t believe their eyes, “they have taken Targaryen Mine, prepare the soloes but be ready for the swap in Lannister Mine, we need to take our racer out, “DiEhArD was finding it tough to focus on both objectives at the same time. The swap was attempted on the Lannister Mine,” why isn’t one of our rally leaders inside, quickly,” varr had shock and horror on his face as both mines were now in the hands of Bow with a botched swap by TFI. Varr quickly calmed himself, “Targaryen Mine first, begin the solo bombardment,” varr was rewarded for his calm approach as Targaryen Mine was taken by TFI. “I can’t believe how easy it is for them, they don’t even need to rally,” D4X was mad at first but realised the situation he was in, “we did what we came to do, we showed what we were made of,” D4X had grown from past seasons and now his anger no longer hindered him in battle. TFI quickly turned their focus to the Lannister Mine and reclaimed it as well, “our mistakes were many this match but each match will make us stronger and it’s a long road back to the finals of Ultimate Conquest,” varr wanted to reclaim his crown and was glad to see the fighting spirit of TFI.

With only 12 minutes remaining TFI had claimed their 80k points and decided to disband all the buildings and give Bow some much deserved points,” they fought till the last mine and gave us a scare but we bounced back and showed our class, lets show some more by giving them some hope for the rest of the season,” Joel1101 as classy as ever gave a command and immediately it was followed, that’s what happens when you lead your alliance to glory. “I will thank TFI after the match, perhaps I was wrong about them, they are who they claim to be,” D4X was happy to take the free points and Bow would remain in the buildings for the rest of the match uncontested.

As the final minute ticked away TFI were celebrating a well-deserved win, “these kinds of mistakes only happen at the beginning of a season, I know these mistakes won’t happen when it really counts,” DiEhArD had seen his team play poorly last season but that didn’t matter in the end. “Our racers need to show their dominance like they did last season and our swaps need some work but that will come with time,” varr wasn’t too fussed about the match, it was only the second round but if he saw the same mistakes in the fifth or sixth round, alarm bells should be ringing.

On the other side of the battlefield, Bow was content with the extra points they were given,” I’ll send our friends in TFI a raven, congratulating them on their victory but we never gave up, that’s what I saw today and we should be proud of that,” D4X had no complaints with his team as they were no match for the reigning champions.

Alliance Conquest never fails to deliver and that’s why I ask you Lords and Ladies to show your appreciation for our warriors here today and catch us again next time for the third round, where we will have more drama and glory for your entertainment!
